The people in Paidha will remain in our hearts. They welcomed and loved us well! The village filled with laughing and smiling faces of children, the gracious hospitality from the women, and the welcome handshakes and conversations with the men will not be forgotten.
The travelers are safely back home. Now it is time for readjusting to a new time zone, and to our culture after being gone ...
Before leaving, Hal was able to assist the Streams of Life Well Drilling Project team in submitting an estimate for installing some wells for a Non Government Organization near Gulu. This is a big step for this team, and a blessing for their families. If they are accepted to do the work, they will be paid - a much needed source of income for their families!
The last Saturday, Dan and Janet had a chance to add a little fun to the end of their trip - they took a wild ride down the Nile River (including some class 5 rapids)! You can see some pretty awesome pictures of some of the rapids at: http://adrift.ug/ (I'm glad we know they are back safe first!)
Thank you so much to ALL OF YOU who have prayed for and supported this short term trip! It's been good to be along for the ride together!
Love,
Hal & Terrie
P.S. I'll keep you posted as I get pictures and/or video clips of the trip uploaded.
