A Warm Welcome

Saturday brought sunshine to a world full of new sights, new sounds and new smells.  Off to the bustling market to keep up with Hal as materials were needed to be purchased before the trip to Gulu.  The people are full of smiles – “happy to see you!”  Greetings were made, bargains were agreed upon, and it was time to head back to The Red Chili, described by Garrison as “a small travel
lodge - the rooms are ok with a working shower and bathroom J”.  Garrison also said, Driving on the other side of the road and all of those motor bikes are a new thing to me.  I got a ride on the back of a motorbike back to the Red Chili: SUPER fun!”

What an experience to worship together with the body of Christ, half way around the world, with brothers and sisters at Logogo Baptist church!  The people are warm and welcoming, eager to make conversation.  After a full morning, a little rest was in order.  Tomorrow will bring a day of driving to Gulu in Northern Uganda.

Some ways you can pray:
Ø  For travel mercies for the drive to Gulu
     (begins 11:00 p.m. PST, 9:00 a.m. Uganda time)
Ø  For Mark and Reece arriving in Entebbe Monday
morning, then traveling with Steven, a Ugandan
man who has been on the well drilling team, to
meet up with the rest of the group in Gulu later.
Ø  For the Lord’s leading in the coordination of
teaching leaders, serving, sharing, ministering with
children and/or women, – "that we do what the
     Lord wants us to do”.
Ø  Thankful for cooler than usual weather

Thank all of you!  I hope you realize how much it means to us to know that you are praying for us each and every day!
